Every Breathe They Took in New York

Two days ago I pointed out (see "Three Years Later") how the Bush Administration deceived New Yorkers about the air quality in the days and weeks following the attack on 9/11. A report sent to Congress last week by the US Government Accountability Office estimates that between 250,000 and 400,000 people in lower Manhattan were exposed to air that contained the highest levels of deadly dioxins ever recorded. The report also showed that there has been no effort to study the people that were exposed to this highly contaminated air. You have to wonder why the Bush Administration has not made the effort three years after the fact.

It's sad, but the Bush administration is evil. And lazy. Clearly they've got their priorities messed up, as usual.
